Lower temps equal less wear and "can" potentially keep things running longer. Just ran it to double check the numbers as I could not remember off hand lol.Īs for heat in laptops, ya running anything at its coolest is the best for longevity. The fans themselves never kicked up any higher but the clock speed for the CPU is pretty low on this mode at 2.7Ghz and one of the reasons why the TimeSpy is so much lower, but the temps during a Cinebench R23 did start high at 95c as the clocks were at 4.1ghz but then they went to the 2.7ghz and never got the package above 72c and stayed in the mid to low 60's most of the time. ![]() ![]() Lol well, there are a lot of "schools of thought" so to speak regarding laptops and heat, and the situation has changed a bit over time.
